HOW IT WORKS

(Day 2 & Day 8)

Step 1:

Make the booking online using the correct form and address of isolation.

Step 2:

Unique LIVEC number is generated and emailed to enter on the passenger locator form once payment is successful

Step 3:

Receive the test kits at your isolation Address.

Step 4:

Follow the Instructions for Swabbing on the manual sent. Ensure the lid is tightly closed once sample is taken.

Step 5:

Activate the Kit using this Link

Step 6:

Send the Testing kit back using the prepaid envelope in the priority Royal Mail box before 9am.

Step 7:

Results are issued directly to your email address by the partnered Laboratory as soon as test is done and certificate can be downloaded.

COVID-19 TRAVEL ADVICE

Please consult the Foreign Office guidance regarding the suitability of the appropriate test for your travel destination.

Some destination may require a PCR test done in the laboratory whilst other accepts a Rapid Antigen test performed by healthcare professional.

Travel restrictions are changing rapidly during the current Covid-19 pandemic. In general, the test needs to be done between 24-96 hours before the flight departure but please confirm the requirement from your airline and book an appropriate test for your destination. Mandatory Day 2 and Day 8 FAQs

From 15 Feb, it is mandatory to perform two Covid-19 tests after international travel. You’re required to perform a test on or before day 2 for variant surveillance and another test on or after day 8 of your quarantine to check you do not have coronavirus. This mandatory test is for everyone who is arriving to United Kingdom.

If you’ve visited or passed through a country on the red list in the 10 days before arriving in England, please refer to the question: ‘What if I’m travelling from a ‘red list’ country.

If you haven’t visited or passed through a country on the red list in the 10 days before arriving in England, you must:

  • You must have valid reason to travel to UK
  • Take a COVID-19 test and get a negative result during the 3 days before you travel
  • Book and pay for a Travel Test Package, which will includes COVID-19 tests to be taken on day 2 and on day 8 of your 10 days quarantine
  • Complete a passenger locator form with details of where you will quarantine when you arrive and the Travel Test Package booking reference number you received once booked.

The Common Travel Area comprises the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands. The British Overseas Territories are not included. Further information is on the government website.

A red list country is a country where travel to the UK is banned. Anyone who is arriving in England who has visited or passed through a country on the red list in the 10 days before their arrival needs to follow the UK government’s guidance.

If your day 2 or 8 test results are positive then you must quarantine for an additional 10 days from the day you took the test – further advice will be provided with your test results.

If your test shows that you have a variant of coronavirus known as a ‘variant of concern’ you will get an additional call and anyone you have been in contact with will be asked to be tested.

There is a requirement by the UK government to conduct genomic sequencing on all positive test results from day 2 tests. This is a very expensive process so increases the overall cost of the testing package.

When you arrive in England you must go straight to the place where you intend to quarantine. Only use public transport if you have no other options. Do not travel by public transport if you have any COVID-19 symptoms. Please see the government website for further details.

Yes, you are permitted to leave your quarantine location to collect or conduct your COVID-19 test but you are required to return to your quarantine location as soon as this is complete.

Patients must complete the self swab as directed in the instructions inside the test kit. Failure to take a swab as directed, may cause a delay in reporting your result.
Taking a swab on behalf of someone else is a gross breach of the terms of this service.
